About Us

Borninfornia Founders: Andrew Sutton & Daniel Calvert

Andrew Sutton: Creator and Co-Founder

Andrew Neil Sutton was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA by his two parents and with three siblings. After graduating from high school in 2008, Andrew headed south to attend college at Point Loma Nazarene University, which is where he became good friends with Scott, and is where he graduated in May 2012 with a degree in Entrepreneurial Finance. Andrew currently lives in Pacific Beach (aka PB), a small beach community full of college kids that is just 10 minutes north of Downtown San Diego. Professionally, Andrew currently works as a manager for a downtown firm that specializes in online startups and e-commerce sites - the biggest one being TipsyElves.com. When he is not working or daydreaming about entrepreneurial endeavors, he loves to spend his time with friends, family, hanging at the beach, or attempting to play sports.  Andrew's favorite sports teams are, in no specific order, the Athletics, Raiders, Sharks, Warriors and the US Men's Soccer Team. Andrew's favorite quote is: "You can learn a lot from a dummy." - Derk Sutton

Daniel Calvert: Co-Founder and COO

Daniel grew up in Gilroy, California but proudly claims Santa Cruz as his hometown because that's much easier than having to explain where Gilroy is. He moved to San Diego in 2008 to attend San Diego State University (SDSU) where he graduated in May 2013 with a degree in Entrepreneurship. Daniel currently lives only a few blocks away from Andrew in the Pacific Beach community and is a die hard 49ers, SDSU Aztecs, Sharks and Warriors fan. The things that he cares about more than anything are his family and friends, having a ton of fun, and the constant pursuit of success and becoming the best person he can be.
